FAQs

Do I have full access to the NY Times archive?

  • All NYTimes.com Pass users have unlimited access to the New York Times archived articles outside the 1923–1980 date range. Each day of their pass, users may access up to five complimentary articles published between the years 1923 through 1980. There is a limit on the number of articles published between 1923 to 1980 that you are able to view.

Can I access The Times from my phone or tablet?

  • Yes! You can use the app version of the New York Times, available for download for both iOS and Android at nytimes.com/mobile

NYT Cooking?

  • Yes! Access is included in your "All Access" digital subscription. Search thousands of the best recipes from the New York Times and organize your favorites to make them easy to find. Includes how-to guides for home cooks at every skill level.

What about the crossword?

  • Unfortunately, our NYTimes.com Pass does not include e-reader or digital versions of the New York Times Crossword.

Why am I asked to log in again on occasion?

  • This may have to do with the automatic cache clearing set up on your computer, which you may choose to do, or your web browser may be set to do periodically. This eliminates the cookie requiring the user to log into the site if the cookie has been removed.
